Rheem Heat Pump

Rheem has two heat pumps in its catalogue. They are the Rheem HDi-310 Heat Pump and the Rheem MPi-325 Series II Heat Pump.

Heat pumps are the latest way of heating water. They are electric, but that doesn't mean they use electricity to heat the water. They use a refrigerant, which by means of some clever alchemy extracts warmth from the air and heats up the water. They are often described as a sort of fridge in reverse. Apart from solar, they are the cheapest hot water systems to run.

The HDi-310 Heat Pump has a design that heats the water from the top down, which means that hot water is concentrated at the top of the tank and can be reheated rapidly, thus lessening any waiting for hot water if it's all been used because the whole tank then doesn't have to be heated up. It has frost protection and has a back-up element for freezing winter nights.

The Rheem MPi-325 Series II Heat Pump uses whisper technology to ensure quiet operation and has multi-pass heating of the water.

Rheem Gas Hot Water Systems

Rheem gas hot water systems are divided into two broad categories – gas storage and gas continuous flow. Rheem gas storage hot water systems come in a range that suits a big family or a smaller household.

They all have extremely good hot water recovery so that in the rare event that all of their stored hot water is used up, it can be replaced and ready to go in around an hour.

There are 4- and 5-star energy rated versions, so you can select a more efficient model if that is most important to you. The greatest advantage of gas storage is that you get mains pressure to multiple taps. That means there isn't a sudden drop off of hot water in the shower if someone decides to use hot water in the kitchen.

Rheem gas continuous flow hot water systems never run out of hot water because they don't have a store of hot water that diminishes. Instead, they heat the water as you use it.

Rheem gas continuous flow systems are available at two preset temperatures – 50°C or 60°C. Households with a high demand for hot water can get.
